BIOSEC is equipped with the’ exclusive Dryset Pro electronic system, which guarantees a complete, simple and effective range of programmes suitable for every type of use and product. The programmes are designed taking into account all the variables involved in the drying process.
In particular, they differ in:
All the programmes described below show the duration in hours (H),those marked with the symbol MN also include a final maintenance. To change the duration of programmes, please refer to the Timer section on page 8.

Dryset Pro.
You will find all programme icons directly on the label surrounding the display.
Select your favourite programme and... happy drying!
The products being processed, once reached the maximum possible degree of drying, they do NOT further change, burn or alter, even if you should forget them in the dryer on.
P1- Automaticis the simplest and most versatile programme. If you do not know how to proceed, it is your first time with BIOSEC or you simply have a product so special that it does not fit into any other category, select P1 - maximum temperature reached 55°C - H: 30h+MN
P2- Mushrooms and thin slicesperfect for mushrooms and products that are not too watery, to be dried in thin slices (4-6mm), such as apples, pears, courgettes, aubergines, etc. maximum temperature reached 50°C - H: 18h+MN
P3- BioCrudistspecially designed for those who follow a raw diet. BioCrudist touches 42°C of temperature in the first two hours and then drops to 40°C. Due to its extreme delicacy, it is also excellent for aromatic and medicinal herbs - maximum temperature reached 42°C - H: undefined (to be stopped when the desired degree of drying is reached).
P4- Superhotis the most hot, at the limits of cooking (we talk about cooking from 70 degrees upwards). It is ideal for products that contain a lot of water to dispose of, such as tomatoes, apricots and plums, but also perfect for meat and fish as it slows down bacterial growth. Finally, it is perfect for meringues, which would require a delicate and quite protracted process in the oven: BIOSEC's temperature precision and ventilation will prevent unwanted burns, while your oven will remain free for any other use - maximum temperature reached 68°C - H: 24h+MN
P5- Pasta: is a programme designed specifically for the treatment of fresh pasta, thanks to the combination of a suitable temperature and gentle ventilation to avoid cracks on the surface of the product. However, it requires a careful eye to verify the desired degree of drying on a case-by-case basis and for each different type of preparation - maximum temperature reached 30°C - H: 16h+MN
P6- Economy: Dedicated to those who pay special attention to ecology and the wallet, or who always have a thousand appliances running: select programme P6, slightly longer drying times will correspond to more than proportional savings. Also perfect for campsites, motorhomes or hotels, where the availability of electrical power is limited: P6 draws a maximum of 270W - maximum temperature reached 45°C -H: undefined (to be stopped when the desired degree of drying is reached).
P7- Silent: is the most suitable programme for night-time or all those who use BIOSEC in workplaces, to keep noise to a minimum. The fan speed is specially designed for maximum noise reduction, without loss of efficiency! Try it with all light and minute products (saffron, small leaves, etc.) that might fly away with the other programmes - maximum temperature reached 45°C -H: 48h+MN
For all those who want more control over temperature selection, BIOSEC also offers programmes t1 to t5,which guarantee operating temperatures between 20°C and 60°C.
Programmes t1 to t5 work intelligently, alternating between operating temperature and cold ventilation to ensure the best result. There are also no time limits: it will always be necessary to stop BIOSEC when the desired degree of drying is reached or set the timer as per the dedicated paragraph (see page 8).

The programmes P7, t1 and t5 can be set for customised temperature control, with three different ventilation modes.
How to use the advanced function:
Choose a programme from P7, t1 and t5. Start it normally, then press and hold both the SET and ON/OFF buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until a flashing digit appears, which is the operating temperature. Change the temperature by repeatedly pressing the SET button to increase it or the ON/OFF button to decrease it, until the desired temperature is displayed. Once the desired temperature is displayed, wait a few seconds without pressing anything: BIOSEC will store this temperature as a new programme target, to be followed indefinitely unless a timer is set (see page 8).
The temperature set in this way is reset to the factory setting when the power supply is interrupted.
In any case, it must be remembered that the temperature of the heated air does not correspond to the temperature of the actual product, which is always some ten degrees lower than it.
All programmes have been created after years of experience and feedback from customers. However, always check that the product you are drying is well dried before storing it. If in doubt, leave it to dry for a few more hours before finishing the cycle.
We invite you to experiment with your recipes and, if you wish, to share them with us or the Gente che Essicca Facebook community.
