Disposal of the BIOSEC dryer

At the end of its useful life, The BIOSEC dryer must be disposed of correctly as electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and must not be disposed of with ordinary unsorted household waste.

BIOSEC is subject to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), which provides for the separate collection of these products to facilitate the recovery of materials and reduce any potential impact on the environment and human health.

How to dispose of BIOSEC correctly

When the dryer is no longer usable, it must not be disposed of in normal household waste bins.

In Italy, it is possible to hand in the dryer free of charge at a local authority collection point authorised to handle WEEE.

Alternatively, if you purchase a new equivalent appliance, you can return the old dryer to the retailer under the take-back scheme “1 on 1”, as required by the WEEE legislation, even for online purchases.

Why is separate waste collection important?

The correct disposal of electrical and electronic equipment enables the various materials it is made of to be managed appropriately and, where possible, to be recovered and recycled.

Separate collection therefore helps to to reduce the amount of waste sent for disposal, to limit the release into the environment of items unsuitable for ordinary household waste and to encourage the recovery of reusable materials.

For this reason BIOSEC must not be discarded or disposed of with unsorted waste.
