{"id":165770,"date":"2025-10-08T19:00:23","date_gmt":"2025-10-08T17:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tauroessiccatori.com\/?page_id=165770"},"modified":"2026-08-24T11:20:30","modified_gmt":"2026-08-24T09:20:30","slug":"disposal","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tauroessiccatori.com\/en\/manuale-biosec\/smaltimento\/","title":{"rendered":"Disposal of the BIOSEC dryer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the end of its useful life, <strong>The BIOSEC dryer must be disposed of correctly as electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)<\/strong> and must not be disposed of with ordinary unsorted household waste.<\/p>\n<p>BIOSEC is subject to the <strong>European Directive 2012\/19\/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)<\/strong>, which provides for the separate collection of these products to facilitate the recovery of materials and reduce any potential impact on the environment and human health.<\/p>\n<h2>How to dispose of BIOSEC correctly<\/h2>\n<p>When the dryer is no longer usable, it must not be disposed of in normal household waste bins.<\/p>\n<p>In Italy, it is possible to <strong>hand in the dryer free of charge at a local authority collection point authorised to handle WEEE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, if you purchase a new equivalent appliance, you can return the old dryer to the retailer under the take-back scheme <strong>\u201c1 on 1\u201d<\/strong>, as required by the WEEE legislation, even for online purchases.<\/p>\n<p>To find out where your nearest collection point is, you can contact your local council or the local waste management operator, or consult the services provided by the WEEE Coordination Centre.<\/p>\n<h2>Why is separate waste collection important?<\/h2>\n<p>The correct disposal of electrical and electronic equipment enables the various materials it is made of to be managed appropriately and, where possible, to be recovered and recycled.<\/p>\n<p>Separate collection therefore helps to <strong>to reduce the amount of waste sent for disposal<\/strong>, to limit the release into the environment of items unsuitable for ordinary household waste and to encourage the recovery of reusable materials.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason <strong>BIOSEC must not be discarded or disposed of with unsorted waste<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Disposal information<\/h2>\n<p>Collection arrangements may vary depending on the area. For specific information, please contact:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to the local council or the waste collection service operator;<\/li>\n<li>to an authorised WEEE collection point;<\/li>\n<li>to the retailer from whom a new, equivalent item of equipment is purchased.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Disposing of the BIOSEC dryer correctly helps to protect the environment and enables you to manage the product
