Why dry?
Drying has always been the most popular method for preserving foodstuffs. Most of our diet depends on dried products: cereals and legumes for direct consumption plus feed, corn and soya, etc. for farm animals.
Drying can provide that something extra that differentiates a range of products, for creating new products with high added value and above all for making best use of gluts of home-grown fruit and vegetable produce, preventing waste.
Why use a dryer?
Air- and sun-drying is not always possible and many products can be damaged by ultraviolet rays and therefore are better dried out of the sunlight.
A Tauro dryer allows the drying process to be carried out in a totally natural way, exposing the foodstuffs to a slightly warmed air flow. This means faster, even drying, without counting the advantages of being able to use the machine day and night, 365 days a year.
